Privacy Policy

The short version

• We store your email address and the days you log, so they sync to your account.
• No ads, no third-party analytics, no tracking across other apps or websites.
• We never sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
• You can ask us to delete everything at any time.

What we collect

• Your email address, used to create your account and send you sign-in codes.
• Your logs: for each day you log, the date and which of alcohol, weed, or nicotine you marked. We don’t collect amounts, notes, or locations.
• Your settings: which substances you’ve chosen to track.
• Technical data our hosting provider records when the app talks to our servers, such as IP address, timestamps, and request details, kept in short-lived service logs for security and reliability.

The app also keeps a copy of your logs and your sign-in session on your device so it works offline and opens quickly.

How we use it

Only to run Sober-ish: signing you in, saving and syncing your logs across devices, showing your calendar and stats, and answering support requests. Your logs relate to substance use, which we treat as sensitive. We don’t analyze them for any other purpose.

Who processes it

We use a small number of service providers that act on our behalf, under their own security and data protection terms:

• Supabase hosts our database and handles authentication.
• Resend delivers sign-in code emails (it receives your email address and the code).
• Apple distributes the app. Apple’s own privacy policy covers App Store downloads.

We may disclose information if required by law, and only to the extent required.

Security

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). On our servers, database rules make sure each account can only read and change its own logs. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and logs until you delete them. When your account is deleted, your logs and settings are removed from our database. Backups and provider logs roll off within their normal retention windows.

Your choices and rights

• Remove any logged day at any time in the app.
• Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or full deletion of your account by emailing support@soberish.app from your account’s address.

Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, UK, or California), you may have further rights under local law. We honor these requests for everyone, wherever they live.

Age

Sober-ish is intended for adults 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you think a minor has created an account, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above, and for significant changes, let you know in the app or by email.
